'Old Tyme Music Hall' - 1920's weekend at The Marquee, Swale House

Dean Caston Enterprises Ltd are delighted to be producing a music hall show for the Swale 1920’s Celebration and will be re-creating some memories from yesteryear. The show will be Chaired by Dean Caston. Cast includes comedian and magician, John Styles and vocalist, Amanda Harkett - there's more information about Dean, John and Amanda below. They will be joined by three talented performers who will be performing some classic music hall songs including ‘My Old Man’, ‘The Boy I Love is Up in the Gallery’ and ‘Down at The Old Bull and Bush’, Audience participation is strongly encouraged. The show will also feature a melodrama entitled ‘Murder at the old Red Barn’. All Tickets £15 each. Friday July 16th in The Marquee at Swale House starting at 7.30pm, doors from 7pm.
This event is at 'The Marquee' Swale House, East Street (located behind Forsters). Tables will seat 6 people and be a maximum of 2 households.

Dean Caston (Chairman) started acting when he joined The Oasthouse Theatre, Rainham when he was 12 years old. He has been associated with the theatre for over 40 years.
Dean made his professional debut playing Alderman Fitzwarren in Dick Whittington at The Hazlitt Theatre, Maidstone in December 2013 and became a regular performer at The Criterion, Bluetown before taking on the role as Director for the Old Tyme Music Hall Shows.
Dean has a real passion for music hall and variety and performs stand-up comedy. He is also Vice Chairman of The British Music Hall Society.
In the autumn Dean is directing and narrating a show entitled ‘The Story & Music of Rodgers & Hammerstein’ which is touring the South East.
John Stiles is an award-winning, distinguished performer – highly skilled in magic as well as being an accomplished Punch and Judy man and popular children’s entertainer.
His enduring Chelsea pensioner character is a crafted study of a fine old English Gentleman which has proved incredibly popular with audiences young and old.
Although mainly appearing in music hall, variety and cabaret productions John has performed his Chelsea pensioner character twice at Buckingham Palace!
He taught Sir Roger Moore and Jude Law the art of conjuring and has advised on films such as Spielberg’s ‘Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade’ and ‘The Polar Express’ with Tom Hanks.
Amanda Harkett graduated from Goldsmiths, London with an Undergraduate Degree in Classical Music and from The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama with a Master’s Degree in Musical Theatre. She works regularly as a singing teacher, a Musical Director and also helped to establish and lead 'The Local Vocals'; a community choir based in Hartley, Kent.
Most recent work includes regular appearances at the Criterion Theatre, Blue Town for their wonderful Music Hall shows and currently be seen across the UK with The Company Upfront – a team who provide interactive murder mysteries for parties and corporate events.
She is also living a childhood dream by becoming a Maze Master at the Crystal Maze Live Experience in London. An immersive theatrical event where guests are thrown into their own episode of the classic cult 90’s show.
Amanda is one half of the world’s only operatic ukulele duo ‘Opera-lele’. Yes, you read that right! Fusing the magic of Opera and Musical Theatre with the twang of the ukulele. The duo has toured the length and breadth of the UK and have also found themselves going international with performances in Finland, Czech Republic, Poland and Berlin.
